Aqua is the name of the template that was created for this website. The template is suitable for developers that want a modern and simple looking website to display their portfolio.

What is it

While developing this personal website, I decided that I also wanted to make it into a template that allows other developers to also create a website for their portfolio. The design has been kept simple and modern looking to appeal to a wide audience. The design makes a lot of use of tile items that display projects and posts in a structured way. The minimalistic icons help users in easily navigating through the website, whether they are looking for a specific project or a tutorial. The name of this first template is Aqua as I want to have alphabetical names for all my templates. As Aqua is a great word in case you are stuck with a Q during a game of Wordfeud, the name was easily chosen.

Project timeline

On 6-11-2025 a first version of the template has been released under the MIT License and is now available through its github repository. You can find this repository by clicking the CODE button below. The README.md shows how the template can be used by developers for their own portfolio. In addition to this README file, the code itself also contains extensive comments to guide developers through setting up their own website.
